Collision Damage Waiver
In the unfortunate event that you cause damage to the rental vehicle as the result of a collision, your liability is relinquished. This waiver is usually limited to a certain amount and can often exclude glass (windows etc), tyres and any towing. The waiver will normally carry an excess/deductable of a certain amount; this means that the renter is liable for a certain amount.
Example: You would have to pay the first £450 of repairs for a collision which caused £5000 worth of damage. The excess applied will vary at different locations.
Vehicle Theft Waiver
This waiver will remove the renter’s liability for the attempted theft or theft of the rental vehicle. Again, the waiver may carry an excess/deductable amount. One Car Rental recommends that you remove the identifying tag that is usually on the key ring of the vehicle and store it safely elsewhere.
If the vehicle becomes stolen and the renter cannot return the key because the renter was negligent and left the key in a prominent and vulnerable location, the renter may be liable for the full cost of the vehicle.
Liability Insurance
Every country has a minimum amount of insurance required for someone to be permitted to drive a vehicle. This covers the renter’s liability for damage caused to other people and/or other peoples property. It is usually limited to a maximum of £500,000 and will usually have an excess attached to it.
Premium Location Fees
Sometimes rental suppliers may impose extra charges in relation to where the renter has chosen to pick up/drop off a vehicle. These fees (if any) are already included in our prices.
VAT And Local Taxes
These are taxes applied by governments and are unfortunately unavoidable. We already include these taxes/duties in our prices.
Unlimited Mileage
Unlimited mileage is included in the prices we quote to you. Most other companies will charge this to cover the cost of depreciation to their vehicles.
Breakdown Assistance
All vehicle suppliers listed by One Car Rental have national assistance should the renter require it. Please ask for the telephone number from your rental supplier when you pick the vehicle up.
Cancellation Policy
Renters who wish to cancel their booking for whatever reason must do so by calling the telephone number listed on their confirmation email no less than 24 hours before the rental collection date.
Please note that we do not accept cancellations by email.
Providing the rental is cancelled within our guidelines, available here, One Car Rental will refund all charges to your credit/debit card suppied when making a booking.

However, if you have made a confirmed reservation via our website and you find a cheaper price on a like for like basis; we will refund you the difference between the two rates and offer you 10% discount off your next booking at One Car Rental. Because our rates can change daily, we can only offer this guarantee within 7 days of your booking being made.
Book Now, Pay Later
In the majority of cases, when you make a booking with One Car Rental we’ll ask for a small deposit for the booking at the time. You won’t have to pay the remaining balance until you pick up your rental vehicle at your chosen location.
